In celebration of International Pineapple Day on June 27, Dole® kicks off a nationwide hackathon competition to discover the next inventive canned pineapple snack “hack” by tasking all foodies to think outside the can and finally answer, “Can it Pineapple?” Featuring ingredients from the Dole Canned Pineapple lineup, Dole wants recipe innovators, snack aficionados and fruit fans to reimagine the timeless pantry staple and create the next craveworthy snack. The three-week competition will take over Instagram and TikTok. Submissions will be judged based on creativity, originality, presentation and theme, featuring a different snacking theme each week!

Roice Bethel is a home cook turned social media chef known for his food hacks and how-to’s.

The Executive Chef @DoleSunshine

As Dole’s Culinary Innovation Director, Chef James Bickmore-Hutt is responsible for new product development, ingredient functionality research and recipe creation.

Weekly Prizing for Winning Snack Recipes

How To Get In On the Snacking Fun!

Step 2

Share your snack hack recipe with a short video (no longer than :30 seconds!) via TikTok or Instagram

Step 3

Use the hashtags #DoleSnackHackathonContest and #CanItPineapple and tag @DoleSunshine to confirm your entry. Be sure to follow @DoleSunshine!

Step 4

Sit back, relax and snack as our judges review your recipe for that week!

*Entrants may submit up to three recipes (one per round) during the hackathon.
