On April 22th to celebrate Earth Day, Standard Fruit Company of Costa Rica (dole) signed an agreement with the Ministry of Environment of CR and became the first company to support the CR initiative to become the first Carbon Neutral country by 2021. Dole committed to compensate CO2 emissions for in-land banana and pineapple transportation.
