Pan Fried Ham with Glazed Pineapple

You will need

  • 1 can (20 oz.) DOLE® Pineapple Chunks, drained
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 (1 lb.) ham steak (1/2 inch thick), cut into 4 equal pieces
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar

Method

  1. Stir together pineapple, maple syrup and curry powder in a medium sized bowl and set aside.
  2. Heat 1/2 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ham and cook 3 to 4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove ham from skillet and keep warm.

  3. Add remaining butter to warm skillet along with pineapple mixture. Cook 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently. Add brown sugar and cook 1 minute or until sugar is fully blended. Serve glazed pineapple over ham.
