Dole Packaged Foods joins Tops Family Markets and Captain Planet Foundation to celebrate Project Learning Garden at Nardin Academy Elementary School
September 22, 2015 – Buffalo, NY – – Today Congressman Brian Higgins of the 26th District joined executives from Tops Friendly Markets, Dole Packaged Foods, Captain Planet Foundation and Nardin Academy Elementary School to inaugurate a special Learning Garden for the school. Together, these three organizations joined forces to offer Nardin students the opportunity to interact with the environment through a learning garden, while expanding their palates and learning about food origins.
Dole Packaged Foods Headquarter Building in Westlake Village, CA awarded LEED Gold Certification
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. – (June 11, 2015) – Dole Packaged Foods announced today that its North American headquarter building at 3059 Townsgate Road in Westlake Village, CA was awarded LEED Gold Certification. The recently constructed Westlake Park Place Building C is a 105,000 square-foot, four-story core and shell office building that incorporates a wide range of aggressive energy efficiency measures as well as a 577 kilo-watt solar panel array which provides almost 75% of the building’s electricity needs. The building was developed by the Searles Property Group in partnership with the Denver based real estate investment fund manager Amstar.
Dole Packaged Foods joins ShopRite, the Greater Newark Conservancy and Captain Planet Foundation to celebrate Project Learning Garden at Camden Street School in Newark, NJ
May 20, 2015 – Newark, NJ – – Today, Superintendent of Newark Public Schools Cami Anderson and ShopRite of Newark owner Neil Greenstein were joined by executives from Dole Packaged Foods, the Captain Planet Foundation, the Greater Newark Conservancy and Camden Street School officials to inaugurate a Project Learning Garden at the school. These organizations collaborated to offer students the opportunity to interact with the environment through a learning garden, while expanding their palates and learning about food origins.
