Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground turkey, beef or pork
  • 1 can (20 oz.) DOLE® Canned Crushed Pineapple in 100% Pineapple Juice, drained
  • 3/4 cup Italian style dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup red onion, grated
  • 1/4 cup DOLE® California Seedless Raisins
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 6 slices monterey jack cheese
  • 6 whole wheat burger buns, toasted if desired

Method

  1. Combine ground turkey, drained crushed pineapple, breadcrumbs, onion, raisins and mustard until well blended. With hands, shape mixture into 6 patties, about 3/4-inch thick.
  2. Arrange patties on broiler pan, sprayed with vegetable cooking spray. Broil 12 minutes, turning once, or until patties are no longer pink in the center.
  3. Place a cheese slice over each burger; return to broiler until melted. Serve burgers on buns.
