Peel and slice yams 1/2-inch thick. In large skillet, combine reserved pineapple juice, sugar, margarine, cinnamon and mace.Step 3:
Bring to a boil; cook until sugar is dissolved, stirring often. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until sauce reduces some. Add apple slices, cook 2 to 3 minutes. Add yams and pineapple. Coat with syrup mixture until well glazed.
